Third Congress of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia

• December 27th 2007, the president of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia (ECNWM) Mr. Miradi Fetaji convoked the third regular congers of ECNWM at the building of Economic Chamber- Str. Dimitrija Çupovski 13 Skopje.
With this agenda:
1. Adoption of the work report of ECNWM for the year 2006-2007
2. Presentation of the Proposal Strategic Plan of ECNWM
3. Miscellaneous

All members of ECNWM were invited to take part at the co0ngress, where majority of them were present and the quorum was ensured in order the congress to go on with its work. At the congress as well were present Vice Prime-minister of the Macedonian Government Mr. Zoran Stavrevski, Director of Labor Inspectorate, Deputy-director of Customs, mayor of Saraj Municipality, Attaché for Economic issues of Turkish Embassy at Skopje, President of the Economic Chambers Association in Macedonia, Secretary General of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia and representatives governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Vice-president of ECNWM Mr. Kasam Zendeli, presented the work report where it were presented all major activities during 2006-2007. The presentation started with promotion of Offices and Strategic plan compiled at August 31st 2007.
Than continued with the meetings of the ECNWM leadership with political parties representatives like: VMRO-DPMNE, DPA and DUI and suggestion made by the leadership of ECNWM for the macroeconomic strategy of Macedonia.
Meetings of ECNWM delegation leaded by the President Mr. Xhemail Dauti, with the Prime-minister of the Macedonian Government Mr. Nikola Gruevski and Vice prime-ministers Mr. Imer Selmani and Mr. Zoran Stavtrevski, held on January 26th 2007, where a numerous suggestion were presented by the leadership of ECNWM to Macedonian Government, where the Prime-minister said that these requests and suggestions will be realized by the Government of RM.
As well were presented meetings realized between the leadership of ECNWM and other state institutions like: the Customs of RM, municipalities, Universities, Embassy representatives in Macedonia like: Ukraine, R of Albanian, European Commission special representative Erwan Foueree, Indonesia etc.
Draft Strategic Plan of ECNWM was presented by the consultant Mr. Fatmir Bytyqi. In this draft strategic plan were included: work methodology, general contexts, problem analysis, vision nad mission of ECNWM, values and principles, activities and draft structural organization of the Economic Chamber of the North West Macedonia.
Greeting speech on the Congress had the president Mr. Xhemail Dauti, who greeted the Vice-prime minister and all present. He assessed the year 2007 as a successful one for the ECNWM and thanked all parties for the cooperation.
Mr. Dauti said that this was a successful economic year for R. Macedonia and actual Government has taken some steps that are showing positive trend.
He mention some of the proposal that the ECNWM will present to the Government as frame work of economic policies, that the Government to include on its work program.
In the end Mr. Dauti said that “we will be open to all institution that wants to cooperate in order for the needed positive changes.
The Vice Prime- minister Mr. Zoran Stavrevski and some other members of the ECNWM had the greeting speech.
In the end it was organized a cocktail by the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia.
